MPD32 and drum rack mapping problem

Post by djMickSwell » Wed Jul 11, 2012 6:38 am

I was wondering if there is a solution for my problem. I have read other users post about this in the past but there have been no resolutions as far as I know as of yet. The problem is this:

I have mapped pad bank A as notes 36-51, this triggers C1 - D#2 just fine.
I have mapped pad bank B as notes 52-67, this is SUPPOSED to trigger E2 - G3. The problem is when I get to pad 9 in bank B, it is supposed to trigger note 60 which is C3 but it jumps down and triggers C2. The problem continues with pad 11 in bank B, which is supposed to play note 62 which is D3 but jumps down and plays C#2.

Does anyone know how to fix it so that it chromatically plays as it is supposed to? This is really frustrating and any knowledge on this would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

du you really need to map it manually? i would just select it as a control surface and the drumrack cells get selected automatically!
yes, i know there are situations where you could benefit from a fixed mapping, but just for the case you didn`t know......

and no, sorry! i don`t have any idea why you experience such a behaviour

I would just get NPKLive by NativeKontrol http://www.nativekontrol.com/NPKLive_II.html
You'll be able to forget about mapping anything ever again.

+1 for npk!!! And when you purchase that you get access to the mapEase beta, which is Even better. Actually i would get nativekontrol scripts for all controllers possible. I Never would use them without

I appreciate the suggestions but thats not really what I'm looking for. I just want the pads to play the correct notes. Does anyone else have any ideas what the problem is?
