Lemur : which expression to match volume faders ?

I'm trying to make a fader module in Lemur ipad that matches the values as dB in Live. For now, I've tried these formulas : 20*(log(x*127/108))*6/3.241 but it doesn't work. Could a math lover Live user or someone at Ableton give me the right formula ?

the volume faders are a touchy subject.. I've tried to figure out ..
even posted on the m4l forum..
the curve is still a mystery to me..

I'm new to Lemur.. but I think I saw somthing about it in the Liine/MutantTalk forums..
don't have time right now to look for it..

This formula comes from the liine / lemur techniques forum... I think the Ableton programmers could share some infos about this.

yes..they could... but somehow they don't..
this kindof stuff should be in the m4l documentation..
a simple task like adding 4dB to the current volume via m4l is impossible otherwise..

3dot, is taht the topic you thought about ? http://liine.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f= ... 1698#p1698.
Maybe the array technique would be the closest if Abletonians don't want to share some lights about this (what I couldn't understand btw).

I sent an email to the support team but didn't receive any answer till now. I have to say I would be really deceived not to be considered for this essential request.

Still no official point of view ?

Old post, but still relevant because it wasn't answered yet.

Abletons fader curve is a tough nut to crack. I was able to get it exactly right from +6dB down to -18dB. From -18dB down to -70dB I have it almost perfect. Just sometimes there's a neglectible 0.1dB difference.
Anyway, please see my Max for live patch for more info. It contains my convertLiveFaderTodB and convertdBToLiveFader patchers. The formulas are in there. https://maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=5886

Is there any chance that you would explain how the hell you came to these formulas ?
This is typically the kind of knowledge I wish I had.

10 years later still no good solution to this problem? There should be a M4L object that does this easily, shouldn't it?
