So for most audio interfaces with FW400, all we need to do is use a 400 to 800 adaptor plus an 800 to TB adaptor.
What could go wrong?

Yikes, yeah. I'm not holding my breath for my Apogee Duet to work properly. Will give it a go though.dazzer wrote:So for most audio interfaces with FW400, all we need to do is use a 400 to 800 adaptor plus an 800 to TB adaptor.

Re: Apple $29 Thunderbolt > FireWire adapter lives!
I have the adapter. Normal FW connectivity is just fine but bus power is totally device-dependent. My MOTU Ultralite mk3 does not work via bus power, nor does my Iomega eGo portable drive. An old FireLite drive works just fine via the adapter and bus power. My 3.5" FW drives also work fine.
I suspect as long as your device has wall power, it will work 100%. If it is bus power only, cross your fingers.

NP. Here is even more technical info (about specific wattages):tempus3r wrote:Great feedback. Thanks.polishbroadcast wrote:I have the adapter.
