Spectral Analyser
Spectral Analyser
What spectral/spectrum analysers are good? to use as a VST plug-in with Ableton.
I am looking for one that is very pictorial with simple waveforms that indicate the frequency in numerical terms.
thanks
I like the Ableton one, but looking for a different one too

Hi funken
I like the Ableton Spectrum too - but where did you get the other skins you mention? They seem to be separate from the overall Live skins available in Preferences?

This is great, but how is this achieved? Wicked stuff mate.

Voxengo Span X2! I love it's ability to route two different audio tracks into it and then I EQ them both at the same time. Sooooo good for balancing out kick drums and basslines for tight punchy bass. There's a link to download it on my website here:

Re: Spectral Analyser
I have put this in the features request forum in the past. I would love to see a "Sonigram" track lane view option in Arrangement view.
And while I'm wishing I may as well suggest it should have chromatic color coding options.
Sorry for the rant, I think I can add something of interest to this thread as well. Sonic Visualiser is Free and very powerful. It's a stand alone product but still deserves a look if your interested in sound analysis.

Re: Spectral Analyser
hello funken, I was just reading your "Tuning kick and bass" tutorial. Very interesting, good job. But I was wondering about the "pitch mode" on SPAN and Spectrum you were talking about. What do you mean with that? Do you mean the semitone setting on Scale X so you see the notes?
Re: Spectral Analyser
Sorry hor hijackin' the thread but couldn't stop laughing my arse off when i'm looking at Funken's signature...
Hey Funken, is that taken from that "ultimate rcockin' DAW" that is out these days that lays bangers without knowing even what a DAW is? That makes your friend experienced producers green on envy? ....
That's most funny sig I ever saw in here, Epic!
Now OT: I personally like to use the built in spectrum analyser of FabFilter EQ, very handy and precise.
Cheers
