Do what the pro guys do in pop production, slap a de-esser on the offending peaks

Some of the Ableton drums have a knob on them called 'Click'.
You can adjust that.

+1 was going to say this

might not need to cut out as much HF then

but in terms of filter to use - just boost/sweep until you find the freq that is most grating, then cut a little with bell curve, or even notch it out

I just fell in love with Waves RDeEsser.
the R version is really smooth. THe regular version (Deesser) is just ok.
