Is Live's Absolute 14bit value the problem?

I realised I have to set a maximum value for absolute 14bit on my BCR2000 but that means to reach a maximum value, I have to rotate the encoders 20 times... is this normal?

I dunno about 14 times, but i switched off of 14bit on my BCR just for that reason.

Sure you can mix channels using uber tiny increments, but I'll be damned if its useful for any synthy tweaking of any sort. It takes waaay to long to get those virtual knobs turning....

you should use it on faders though.

well you did ask it for ABSOLUTE ;)

seriously though, doesnt the BCR give you the option to have 2 revolutions for the knobs?

so 14bit on the faders, and off on the knobs, if you want more detail on the knobs go for the 2 revolutions setting... easy enough.

I dont think it gives me the options for 2 revolutions. I checked the manual, but maybe that's what relative controller values may be for.

I'll noodle again, but I tired everything last night and got no joy.

Sad camper :(

Nope, im sure there is no option to decide how many revolutions the BCR takes before it reaches the maximum. In cubase you can define the top-bottom ranges of the integers, however in Live ye can't. I -think- that is one of the main problems for this, um, problem. :) Allow myself to introduce... myself.
