Midi Chords VST

Post by Pasha » Sat Sep 29, 2012 6:56 am

I have some old material which I forgot about.
I am trying to restore it but I need to get the chords I played at that time.
Do you know of a VST that reads input MIDI and outputs Chords?
I saw something like that in M4L but I do not own it so...
Any clue?

If you mean a program that will load a midi file and tell you it's C F G7 etc, Band In A Box, Rapid Composer and EZKeys will all do that.

Thanks for replies so far. I need a VST/AU (Mac OS X here) to be dropped on a track and will display the playing chord that exist in the track/clip playing. I remember when beta testing Max 4 Live that something like that was there but Max for Live is not for me.. really..

one might argue that if exactly the thing you are saying you need is something you know is in Max4Live, that perhaps it is for you, really!

Hey I'm a keys player in the Downtown Toronto area and I play by ear. I do a lot of session work for my producer friends helping them hammer out their ideas and expand on their melodies.

I could definitely replay the melodies for you or help you figure out the proper chords.
if you're interested in working on some of your beats just holla
