And it is the upcoming free Live 8.5 update.
Not that I wouldn't want these as part of a free update, but why do you think it's 8.5 rather than 9?

The video that was taken off of the AbletonInc Youtube channel was titled, and I quote, "Live 9 Devices Master".

Loving the new Library view! It will be a huge improvement and could radically reduce the learning curve for new users.
arrangement view will be only part of the extra studio-pro-edition, visible on a second monitor only. they found out that 99 percent of live users only use session view and never arrange or render ...

Heheh.
I dunno, looks like some interesting stuff going on in the transport bar in the still from 6:05...
Fun fun fun. Oh no wait, sorry - grrr, I'm really annoyed, what is this rubbish, I've already got billions of plugins, where's my dinner, etc.

Of course they will also be included in Live 9.

I'm guessing the big white mixer they're showing off implies some sort of console emulation..?

The elephant in the room in the video is of course the fact that he's using a dual monitor setup; Live fills the entire right screen, and the left one is ... empty. Just the desktop.

A couple of dates to remember:
This upcoming weekend, the yearly AES Convention in San Francisco (Audio Engineering Society). Many recording professionals attend this convention, and even though Ableton is not exhibiting there, they may be wanting to get some leaks out prior to the show to offset the increased use of ProTools 10.
January 26-29, the yearly NAMM show in Los Angeles. Ableton has shown here for years, although they have been absent for the last couple of years, presumably because they didn't have anything new to show. The are currently not listed as an Exhibitor, but that could change any time between now and January 25. This would be the most likely U.S. place to debut AL9.
May, 2013, the Frankfurt MusicMesse. The most likely European place to debut AL9.

Fabfilter & Cytomic sales may drop for a few months....
3 years in the making......must be holding back on the biggest party tricks.......
FabFilter guys are not involved. They said that on their forum. Pretty blatant copying though.

Lots of plug ins use that kind of display, not like Fabfilter are the only ones to do it that way. Most of the Voxengo plug ins use it too, for instance.

everything has been pilfered from one place or another, 'imitation is the sincerest form of'....whatever
+1000 for getting rid of back to arrange button, hallelooya...(im sure arrange view is still there, just session would be a huge step backward)
still wonder if this was a leak, or a "leak"
