Creating Interesting Perc Loops

Post by JMFOne » Sun Oct 21, 2012 12:07 pm

I've been listening to Minimal Torsion sample pack, in particular the Housen Perc Loops. I could just drop one on a track and use that but I'd love to create my own. Any tips on how they are being made?

Is it simply just a few one shots in a 1 bar loop with some sort of effect over the top, obviously compressed aswell. They all seem to have what sounds like a stretch algorithm on them-is this right?

Any tips would be great as this is pretty much the core groove of a tech-house track so I want that to be self-created.
