Looking for an audio editor that can....

Post by v00d00ppl » Tue Oct 23, 2012 11:39 am

I'm looking for an audio editor that can rip audio CDs into WAVs. I am also looking for an editor that can allow me to edit FLAC files or at least turn FLAC files into WAV files I can edit. Lastly I want the ability to quickly go through a WAVform the way I was able to with adobe audition 2. The last one isn't as important, but the first two requests are.

So why not continue with Audition? It is one of the best Editors on the market.

+1 for Sound Forge. After moving to Mac, I have Parallels running specifically for it! Wavelab is pretty good for ripping CD's etc and the batch scripting is really good too. Sound Forge would still be my recommendation!

Both expensive options though - Audacity is free and you can open/edit FLAC files. You can't rip CD's, but there's free programs like this one that will do that:

Hope that helps

I was running a crack before in windows XP. I was trying to run the same crack in win 7 64 bit. It wasn't working. I'm wondering will buying a legit version of that work or am I better off buying a legit audition 3?
