they're partnering with funken on a new web page.

about funken time they said SOMETHING!!

it's pretty insane how long we've been waiting.

Great, hopefully Live 9 is ready soon thereafter!
Working a lot lately, and could actually afford the update when they announce it.

Just a guess, but IMO the days of public betas that go on for months with them are over.
I have nothing to base this off of except that the other OSX DAWs do not do public betas at all, and never did.
Last public beta cycle with 8 I was one of the few who didn't think it was ready to be released, and no matter whether the bugs I had were real or not you end up feeling a bit like Chicken Little saying the sky is falling when other people are giving positive feedback.

I saw this on the MTM Facebook feed earlier too ... but it seems to have been removed!

Either the announcement is put back, or Ableton didn't like the spoiler being there....

I wonder if they were saddened that the rampant constant speculation threads had died down, so they are orchestrating little leaks here and there to get their forum back into speculation troll mode.

The best reliable source for news is always a single feed on a third party’s facebook page.

This should be discussed at great length.

I'm preparing alright, but neither as a presenter nor as a Certified Trainer. I'm preparing as Bitwig's lawyer for the impending lawsuit we all knew was coming.

This is gonna be bigger than Apple vs. Samsung, and it's gonna make my career.

“Modern life. Where are we running? Sometimes what we want is not always where we are… Are we alone? Is the real winter inside our hearts? We are all struggling for definition in a world that resists our increase.”
I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

Agreed, there will be no public beta of Live 9.

I believe this is one of the reasons why 9 is taking so long.

Im sure they dont want to have to do a total rewrite again for many years. Lets hope for their sake they have the right BT's and dont invent a new feature as revolutionary as clips and as unrevolutionary as not being able to automate them.
