I own Live 8 (non Suite).

When i log in on the Ableton Page it say:

Showing your options to upgrade to Live 8.
Upgrade to Suite 8

+ Free upgrade to Live 9 Suite

EUR 219 EUR 164

So do I get that right:
If i update today from Live 8 to Live 8 Suite for 164 Euros I get Live 9 Suite as a free update? Is there a error or a catch? That is really a very tempting offer and if that I correct I certainly will update to Live 8 Suite immediately.

says the same for me. hmm. tempting.

I've also got Live 8 (NOT suite) and it's saying this:

i'm in the uk too - EUR 179 for me as well.

It was to tempting - so I just did the upgrade.

I was thinking about upgrading to the Suite version for over a year now - so it was really a no brainer. I really hope there was no mistake on the page - but they actually say several times on there homepage that you the Live 9 Suite for free if you buy or upgrade now. So we will see...

Payed 164 Euro for Suite 8 Download. But I'm in Germany.

This seems strange, but I bit. It looks like upgrades for people with Live 8 suite already + M4L are more expensive?

I had Live 8 standard + Sampler + Operator + Tension
My discounted upgrade to Live 8 suite was $149. It says Live 9 suite is a free upgrade from this...
So I guess Live 9 suite (including M4L) was $149? Score.

Well that sounds like a good deal - it seems to cost more to go from Suite 8 to Suite 9. Minor hmmf.

All sounds now with the download version I see...

A slightly different question:

Do I have to upgrade through Ableton website, or can I order a boxed edition from a nearby shop, and still get the update to 9?

Even if it's an error, I think they'll have to honour it once you've paid.

seriously??? so i have Ableton 8 Suite and therefore have to pay more to upgrade to 9??? f*** kidding me ???

Yeah I hope you guys don't get screwed over. I bought suite a while ago, and you're getting a crazy deal if this is right. I bought suite and would have to pay another $300 for the next suite i guess.

Then again, I've lucked out in the past with ableton upgrades — esp. when I had like live lite, and then there was a 33% discount and the student discount... so yeah. Fingers crossed the prices get figured out (and by figured out, I mean lowered for live suite upgraders haha)
