People do understand that there is both a 32 bit version AND a 64 bit version?

Nice tone there.
When is Live 9 coming out? Can I already upgrade to Live 9?
Live 9 will be released and downloadable in the first quarter of 2013. It will come with 32 bits and 64 bits installers

I stand corrected then. Thought you were just being snarky, my bad.

That's good to know. Would be nice to use 64-bit Live 9 with older
32-bit only plugins though, however.

Will it include the J Bridge or will one have to buy it seperate to use 32 bit plug ins in the 64 bit environment? I have a lot of 32 bit plugs I really like but I wouldn't mind running the 64 bit versions of the ones that are.

Just use jbridge I already use it to run 32bit plugs in Live 8 64bit.

Personally I don't want to buy it. Would rather the software just support it by default.

JBridgeM for Mac works fantastic. Support is good and fast. The price is alright too.

best of luck then.. Ableton has stated a few times now they have no plans to implement a bridge and suggest people use Jbridge.. ie: why re-invent the wheel? probably the same reason we haven't seen mp3 encoding in the export options.. they'd have to license the technology just to include it, or invest the man hours trying to support a dying architecture for a fraction of plugs that are still 32bit.

I didn't know they said that. Looks like I don't have much of a choice then. Wish I could use my J Bridge from Sonar on Live.
