EIC 2

Post by mauronedj » Mon Oct 29, 2012 2:49 pm

Hi,
Why I'm unable to download the EIC 2 from the site???

I've purchased Live used 3-4 months ago, I went to the shop for the EIC 2 but it's say only Autorize, so I think that it has already been purchased by the other user...

So what can I do for download it???

you can't download EIC2, you have to have the DVD. if you can't get it from the seller, it's in the standard live 8 box (even though it doesn't come with a license for it normally) so if you know someone with a live box you can use theirs.

if you can't find one, you can also buy a box for ~$40 which has the dvd, manuals, stickers, etc. if that's too expensive, if you are going to upgrade to live 9 and can wait, you'll be able to download it then.

I can't upgrade my Suite 8 license to the Box version, I don't know why it doesn't show this option in the menu so I must buy another full license to get it... :x

do you also have session drums? if so... you already basically have boxed, so there's no upgrade to be had.
in that case, it might be worth spending the $40 or so to get a box.

Did you scroll to the bottom of the Shop page?

Sure, but in this box there aren't any reference to the EIC software:

Suite 8, box only (no serial)
With installation disc, content discs, printed manual and stickers. No serial numbers included.

maybe it doesn't, but my live 7 install box had a dvd for live, and a dvd for eic2. my suite 8 install box had those two discs + two for session drums. that is what you will get.

When I bought Suite, the box included EIC and Session Drums. You should double-check with Abe support but I'm almost certain ordering that package will get you the disks you need.

When you upgade to Live 9, then the EIC will dissapear and be replaced by packs you can download.

So are you saying that by installing Live 9 and all of the Live Packs for download with Suite, I will have all of the Suite instruments without using the EIC2 CDs?

Hmm, do you know if this really applies to all EIC2 sounds? I was doing a lot of beta testing, and unless I just somehow overlooked it to a huge extent, I don't remember the EIC2 choir sounds (which were pretty good) being included in any packs for Live9. I can't recall exactly what the ones were that I liked in EIC2, but I definitely know that the ones I had included with Live9 and the packs, I couldn't get the previous choir sounds.
