Live 9 Display 1024x768 WTH?

Post by Oblivious » Tue Oct 30, 2012 9:08 pm

I'm currently shopping for a laptop and leaning towards http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15r-5520/pd . I expect it would be good for playing out with Live 8, but just as soon as I'm about to pull the trigger, Live 9 is announced with this ridiculous display requirement. The display on the laptop I'm looking at is 15.6" High Definition (720p) LED. Will this be a deal breaker if I want to eventually move up to Live 9? Of course I could append another monitor to the laptop when playing out, but I want it to have some functionality and ease of use if I happen to be working on the go without lugging around a seperate monitor.

Thanks for any help.

Larger screen sizes and resolutions are not an issue. 1024x768 is the minimum requirement. Most laptops have 1440x900 displays and I use Live at 2500x1600 and 1920x1280. No problems except that the font size is small.

Looks like that Dell is 1366x768. Shouldn't be any problem.

That's kinda weird. That's an LCD TV resolution.
