Hello everyone,
I've built a desktop but my motherboard doesn't come with a firewire input. Does anyone have any recommendations for a high quality firewire card so that I can hook up my Audiofire 4 to my PC?
Thanks,

You want something with a TI chipset, IIRC.
In my personal experience, I have had bad luck with Adaptec and good luck with SIIG.

Re: Recommendations for a firewire card for a desktop?
I got this PCIe card a few months ago when I was trying to rule out FireWire as a potential performance issue with one of my interfaces (turned out to not be a problem). I don't know what chipset it has, but it performed identically to the TI FireWire chipset on my main DAW system's motherboard, and works fine with MOTU interfaces (which allegedly have a TI requirement): Rosewill RC-504
EDIT: And disregard that 1-star Amazon review, heh. The thing works fine on Win 7 and Win 8.
