Echo indigo I/O - can input & output be used simultaneously?

Post by chymera » Sat Apr 09, 2005 7:47 pm

hola,

i'm thinking of getting one of these guys for maximum portability when playing live... However I'm using an access virus for playing live as well, and until now, i've been running the virus through the inputs on my firewire 410, and running ableton audio and the virus out through one of the 410 outs, negating the need for lugging a mixing desk around. Is it also possible to do this with the echo indigo I/0 ???

thanks!!!
bren.

Hi,

Yes the Indigo io has zero latency hardware monitoring. Input is passed on to the output (this can be turned off)

Hi,

You should mute the inputs on the Echo Console. This turns only the direct monitoring off. Live (or other software) still sees and accesses the inputs and you can monitor them, too (with latency of course)

Assuming on WinXP ...
Head to Start Menu -> (all) Programs -> Echo Digital Audio -> Console3 ...

Mute the Input Channels on the mixer ... done
