tea drinkers
I wanted to know what sort of tea people drink, how they drink it and how they think it's influenced coffee drinkers and artists.
I like cheap shit tea (and coffee).

As a purveyor of specialty tea, I have to say that... blah blah blah.ian_halsall wrote:I wanted to know what sort of tea people drink, how they drink it and how they think it's influenced coffee drinkers and artists.

Just kidding.
My coffee post was for real though.
Thanks for playing!

Re: tea drinkers
Anything herbal with alot of lemon, no sugar. I like it bitter cause it keeps me up at night but doesn't actually hinder my ability to go to sleep when I'm done
Re: tea drinkers
once a year i gather a team together to go deep into China to find only the most oolongish of tea. after backpacking through the mountains and returning with our prize we then setup camp and begin the process of preparing the leaves to be blessed by Shaolin Monks. i use very expensive tea kettles to prepare the the tea so that every cup has that i'm so much better than thou taste and aroma.
Mmmm mmMM... i can taste rozling's indignation with every sip!

I think maybe H2Only knows about me.
Oolong, I make is in one of those little tea pots. Put in lots of leaves, hot water (not boiling), leave it for about 10 seconds then pour.
If you prepare the tea that way you have more control over how strong it is. You get the flavour of the tea without it getting bitter.

Tend to rotate between various brands but I do always like Yorkshire, most types of Twinings, and PG Tips for something generic. We have Tetley at work, it does the job.
It's interesting when this comes up in forums, it seems the Americans who drink tea seem to enjoy various fancy herbal (or should that be 'erbal ) teas... I don't mind them once in a while (been drinking some nice ginger and lemon stuff with a teaspoon of honey when I've had a cough recently) but it's all about the builder's tea.

Gather ragweed and dead dandelions, throw them in a filter and done.

Earl Grey is my favourite. Either black or with a tiny dash of milk.

I drink my green tea the same way as I drink my vodka: pure.
