Hey everybody, I recently released the Arpeggionome Pro, an interactive MIDI arpeggiator for iPad.
Basically, it's an arpeggiator you control with an x-y matrix. The x-axis changes the arpeggio's reference-note, and the y-axis changes the arpeggio's rate. Additional interface elements allow you to dynamically change how it arpeggiates, and all changes are quantized to an adjustable quantization-grid (similar to Live's clip-quantization). Its MIDI implementation is rock-solid, and works very well with Live. Following are some video and audio examples...
A short video I made:

A video made by user Jim McLaren playing the intro to MUSE's "Take a Bow":

I bought this and love it. It's got all the features of an arpeggiator I could think of – and more!
Is it possible to control my Ableton Live instruments? Do I need something like iConnect midi to get the midi notes in my mac?
Thanks!
Craig

Glad you figured it out! For anyone else interested, you can connect Arpeggionome Pro to Ableton in any of the following ways:ze2be wrote:Very nice! Id like to know this too:Edit: I see now that you can. Awesome!craigb wrote:Is it possible to control my Ableton Live instruments?
1. (preferred method) MIDI through a CoreMIDI hardware interface, like IK Multimedia's iRigMIDI
2. MIDI over Bluetooth
3. MIDI over WiFi
MIDI over Bluetooth and WiFi still work great, but the required latency forces you to play more in advance than through a hardware interface. However, since parameter-changes are quantized (like Live's clips), it is still very playable. For example, here's a video of MIDI over Bluetooth: http://youtu.be/QhQYywlHfvQ. MIDI Clock is sent from Live to Arpeggionome Pro, and MIDI Notes are being sent back to Live from Arpeggionome Pro.

Hi,
I just got myself the Apeggionome Pro, but can't work out how to get it talking with ableton….I am using midi core Neusonik iM/One, and had set the midi to "arpeggionome midi out". Problem is I can't see the midi on ableton's midi list, nor on OS midi settings….it;s my first time trying to connect the iPad with ableton, and looks like something's not well here…how did you guys connected yours?
cheers!
