Live suddenly ceases to receive MIDI from controller

Thanks to all for all the replies. I haven't had the time to try all the proposed solutions since I was out of town for a couple of days, but I'll give them a go and post the resuts.

I'm not really sure the solution resides on the Power Settings side though, since I'm not using a laptop, but a desktop PC with an 400W external power source :( .

It doesn't matter if its a desktop or a laptop, power settings are still relevant ;)
