changing tempo?

Post by derrick » Fri Jan 11, 2013 6:21 pm

Hi,

Is there a option to change the tempo individual in the arragement view?

Example: my tempo is set on 125bpm

I have 7 midi racks running on 125bpm and i have 1 midi rack that i want to change from 125'' to 60bpm!

is there a ableton device with that option? or something else? or any tips?

thanks.

You may change individual tempo of the clip, it's straightly dependent on warping…
of course it works the opposite way - as the clip tempo is set to warp the clip to the master tempo, but still, there's no problem with changing the clip tempo to force the clip to be played in actual 60 bpm.

all You need is to do some math.

if I'm right it will go like this:
a master tempo
b original clip tempo
c actual new clip tempo
x nominal new clip tempo

b*(a/c)=x
