Prevent Sampler from detuning

Post by 0x80 » Sun Jan 13, 2013 1:44 am

When you have a lot of samples to import into Sampler, it helps to use the "distribute evenly" function in order to quickly map each sample to a different (goup of) keys. When you have say 80 samples most of them will get 2 keys assigned when you do this.

Is there a way to prevent Sampler from detuning the ones that have multiple keys assigned to them? I want to randomly trigger any samples, but by doing so I hit a lot of samples which are detuned because they have 2 or more keys assigned to them.

I could manually change all of them to use 1 single key, but that means there will be gaps, and my random triggering will not always hit a sample. Is there an option to keep the sample in original tune no matter how many keys it spans on the keyboard?

Ooops found it! Its the "scale" parameter next to detune. If you set it to 0% the sample will always be the original tuning.
