Launchpad's step sequencer

Hi,
Is there a free Max4Live version so that I can use Novation Launchpad's step sequencer "LaunchpadStepSeq_b5.amxd" without purchasing Max4Live ? (Some sort of "Player" version that cannot build new M4L presets, but allows to play existing .amxd)

If you have Suite, Live 9 will include M4L as part of the standard package....
There wont be a player version for 8... however you could switch to the demo mode of Ableton to see if it's something that you'd benefit from?

just so you're aware. At present Maxforlive and the Beta version of Live 9 don't have this as a working device.
I would imagine this will change once the full version is released

Nota: About Novation Launchpad's StepSequencer (LaunchpadStepSeq_b5.amxd) : the sequence is *NOT* saved when you close the Ableton project, and then you reopen it! The sequence isn't included when saving a Live project.
That's strange! Beware or you will loose your sequence!

www.nativekontrol.com check for the launchpad script and then go to the forums for the Push emulation.

seconded, lots of other good reasons to get it too, expanded my LP's usefulness manyfold!
the novation launchpad script isn't saving sequences when I bring up saved projects with my launchpad mini. does this Push emu save sequences? the MIDI prefs are set up as diagrammed.
