I wonder if Push is capable of reciprocating love?

Looking good.
my spideysenses detected a hint of unease in Dennis as the conversation turned to the subject of aftertouch in the instruments though ... "um, our instruments don't really respond to aftertouch but you can make all sorts in M4l, you could even map aftertouch to the track pan if you like!"

yeah. (Dunno why he didn't just call up a Sampler or Operator patch with some Dubstep Mono-aftertouch->filter at this point!)

but still, the controller looks nice and I guess that we'll see be seeing Live catch up with the required functionality for it to be used more fully on all the instruments soon enough.

I went from excited to sort of meh about Push over the last few weeks. But to hear they are focused more on making it an instrument versus being a controller has me excited again. :P

Well,
Push will send and receive poly-Aftertouch, but Live can only record mono-Aftertouch ... Except in the case of some of the drum rack behaviours if I am reading Jesse correctly in this thread.

AFAIK poly-Aftertouch and per-note automation in general has been pretty rare in most DAWs up until recently. I've never actually laid hands on a DAW that does it.

The NAMM show was all about the Push and nothing much about Live 9?

I noticed that no one has yet been able to "push" the push for themselves in these videos, so we don't yet have any third party opinions/video on the feel of the thing.
