hello

a way to start recording just after there's a midi/audio signal to input channel, for ex. there's a loop in the background and I would like to record some drum pattern and Live starts recording when I hit the first note/signal threshold going through, so I get the first note of my first drum pattern in the 1.1.1 position, is that possible? Sorry, I did a search but couldn't find any solution.

I don't know about you, but my experience is that recording from bar 1.1.1.1 always cuts something off, or glitches.

That being said, you could always midi map the first note to record enable and play... but then you'd have an issue with that note for the rest of the song.

What is the purpose for doing this? Maybe I can suggest an alternative...

You can't set Live to start recording when the first note is hit.

However, if you are holding down a note as you start recording, it will appear at 1.1.1.
