LCD Monitors?

Post by headfullofradios » Tue Feb 19, 2013 9:32 pm

Does anyone have any advice on a good LCD monitor?
I use it with a MacBook Pro for external display; I work a lot from home so it helps to have two. My current LCD is looking awfully squished and fuzzy so I was thinking of getting a new one.

Perhaps you can give some tips on contrast/brightness settings too. I use the f.lux app for adjusting tint at night, but in general, my display isn't as sharp as I'd like it to be.

I go with LG for anything screen related.

I won't get into technical stuff.

I picked up a 24 inch Dell Ultrasharp a couple of months ago and cant speak highly enough of it. Fantastic screen but pricey.

here's the geekdown on LCD panel types:

the Dell Ultrasharps are one of the better choices. they have DisplayPort inputs too so you can use a single cable without any adapters from your MBP.
