Are you getting PUSH?
Re: Are you getting PUSH?
i saved money for push + live 9 suite update but atm im not sure. i have a vcm 600 and a apc 40 and i don´t know whether i need it really. the benefits are not that much and i think it´s more a nice to have because of the velocity sensitive pads, step sequencer etc.
Re: Are you getting PUSH?
i think the chrods are easier to understand in a grid like the LP
Re: Are you getting PUSH?
Hmmmmmmm. I suddenly have a question.
I know that you can set clips to be launched to be velocity sensitive.
It has always been assumed that clip launching grids would simply launch a clip at a consistent volume.
I'm wondering if clips will respond to velocity amount used in Push?? That could add some interesting dynamics. Especially with repeat triggering.

Re: Are you getting PUSH?
If it was released 2 years ago I would have gotten one right away but I gave up on drumRacks after getting some hardware.
Currently I dont even need to look at my laptop for performing or song creation,
and chances are I will always use a mouse when fine tuning productions.
Considering how things went with the APC40 over time, I'll wait.
I'm guessing a few months later, Novation will release a new product too.
Also the price of PUSH will come down.
Theoretically any controller should be able to provide some of the PUSH functionality, via remote scripts M4L or even Bomes.
I'm not sure I need PUSH, as a whole, but I would like to access stuff like "Swing per note" and apply it in my own way on a controller I already have.
I think PUSH will be great for people who desire it's default behavior and want something plug and play.
It looks amazing for people deep into drumRacks, or people getting into Live.

Re: Are you getting PUSH?
I will buy one, when it is released.
I was on the brink to buy a controller for producing and live sets.
but somehow wasn 't convinced that i should get a APC40.
I bought an Octatrack but this is definetly not my cup of tea.
There way of handling pattern, banks was to awkward.
So I'll give push a try. I am curious

Re: Are you getting PUSH?
Not sure about that, considering all the Drum Racks related features that cannot be controlled from Push:JuanSOLO wrote:It looks amazing for people deep into drumRacks
- slicing audio to drum racks
- accessing the mixer or the sends of drum racks
- duplicate drum rack pads
- browse and load audio/clips into drum rack's pads
- preview/pre-hear samples before loading sample into a drum rack pad

this isn't even a maschine thread hum you guys over there at NATIVE INSTRUMENTS, must be scared of the competition.humnumb wrote:Not sure about that, considering all the Drum Racks related features that cannot be controlled from Push:JuanSOLO wrote:It looks amazing for people deep into drumRacks

Where did you find it for $450?ezelkow1 wrote:yea, once i found it for 450$ i couldnt say no anymore, if you could only find it for 600 though I probably wouldnt have
Re: Are you getting PUSH?
eastcoastmusic has it for 475, and then you can find some online places that will match that price, and some give an extra discount on top of matching itBizon wrote:Where did you find it for $450?ezelkow1 wrote:yea, once i found it for 450$ i couldnt say no anymore, if you could only find it for 600 though I probably wouldnt have

Re: Are you getting PUSH?
Right now with my Maschine controller + my MPC 49 I'm set. Rarely do I use Live to actually play live. I use it more for composition and arrangement. If I do get a wild hair in me and start putting together stuff to use live for parties and whatnot, I'll first try using the Maschine controller to launch clips, if it builds into more then I might have to consider Push.

Slicing to drumRacks hot key, or mappability would be nice.humnumb wrote:Not sure about that, considering all the Drum Racks related features that cannot be controlled from Push:JuanSOLO wrote:It looks amazing for people deep into drumRacks

Most of this stuff is just not how I work though.
For example, I access the sends of drumRacks through macro mappings and nested drumRacks.
I dont need to duplicate pads, I already have a drumRack kit that is my go to for everything sampled drums.
I already browsed and loaded all the samples I will ever use for drums into Samplers, and created custom racks.
Preview/pre hear is pointless to me when designing new Samplers or Racks, because I am usually posted up at home just arrowing through samples in the browser. Pre-hear is kind of a live performing function, and I dont consider pre-hearing samples a part of my live show.
so the "related features" you desire are not even on my radar,
I've been hacking the APC40 for years trying to access things in drumRacks in a cohesive way that provides an uberfast workflow. PUSH pretty much gets all of my desires just right for drumRacks, it looks like magic to me.
8x8 matrix
StepSequencer plus Pads layout
velocity sensitive pads
swing per step
access/view of all cells and nested racks
bluehanding of all macros of a selected device
automation recording in session view
There's nothing else like it.
I want one just to use for sequencing, but as of late I am starting to drift away from controllers.
Re: Are you getting PUSH?
in live 8 the clip launching matrix wasn't capable of velocity sensitivity. i tried it with a padkontrol. midimapping clips to individual midi notes - that's velocity sensitive, using the remote scripts session matrix to launch clip wasn't. it'd be nice if they've updated the session matrix to be velocity sensitive, but I don't think its a given.
Re: Are you getting PUSH?
I was thinking of getting one but then the MS-20 mini came out and I just had to pre-order one of those. So now I don't have any money left. I don't regret my decision though.
Yes, I know, they don't do the same thing AT ALL. But MS-20.

Re: Are you getting PUSH?
eddiex, I know that you've had your panties in a twist about Guitar Center not letting you return Maschine and that you had to troll every thread here mentioning Maschine just to whine about it but your constant paranoid accusations are getting a bit too much. Just so it's clear, I'm not "at Native Instruments" and I don't have anything do with them or any other business so fuck off.eddiex wrote:this isn't even a maschine thread hum you guys over there at NATIVE INSTRUMENTS, must be scared of the competition.humnumb wrote:Not sure about that, considering all the Drum Racks related features that cannot be controlled from Push:JuanSOLO wrote:It looks amazing for people deep into drumRacks
