i might be more excited about this, than live 9..(only because i don't have the upgrade money)

have you tried anything "intensive" yet?
i tried like 5 instances of reaktor running razor...it didn't crash my computer.
i got like 50% cpu
i might try TAREKITH's performance test thing out in a bit?
where would you find anything out about the library, if it was changed?

dl'ing the 64bit now! yippee. now those 8gigs of ram will serve a greater purpose...
wait. so..
this morning i started live and it automatically "scanned default packages" and now i have
8.4 32bit.
after downloading the 64bit version.. what's the proper way to install the 64bit version ?

/Applications/Ableton Live 8.app/Contents/App-Resources/DefaultPackages were bit identical to 8.3.4eddiex wrote:where would you find anything out about the library, if it was changed?
& it didn't ask to install/change content on first run.

Thank god... I just tested it rewired with Reason 64 bit... Working perfectly! So now I should have my full 16GBs of RAM!!!!

Now that we have Live 8.4 (64bit) and Max4Live (64bit) I really need to think about if I should update to Live 9. :/
