I wish I could have such a nice neighbor

Not updating to Live 9 until they add a switch for indexing or a legacy browser mode.

It's a shame because i love ableton and i think push is pretty nice... but updating software to suit push users is bit of a step backwards if u ask me.

If you need a controller to browse presets and loops maybe you should take up golf or something. you are gonna need something to do while software has to index your hard disk.

Sorry ableton, i truely love your software. But i think this update needs a lot of work...

That doesn't seem relevant to this thread, seeing this thread is focused on the Live 9 browser.

It seems the next update should bring some optimisations relevant to those having problems with the browser's performance.
Looking at the 9.03 beta release notes so far, it should at least address the following:

1.
The Browser would not update its content pane after a change in the file system if the selection was somewhere outside of the Browser.

2.
Scanning folders containing a huge amount of files could take longer than necessary.

3.
The Ableton Index process would sometimes not scan all folders after adding them to the sidebar.

but then we can't complain about it.

I thought it was quite intuative, the bookmarks working particularly well.

If You're too ... to understand the previous, your place fort posting isn't this one. Try design imaging or whatever another DAW but you can't be able to do more than (and in fact apparently I'm just guessing you can) READ/ WRITE.

And to finish on the BW thing, is any BitWig Studio had to finally release, since 2009 the "company" I consider subsided by Abe himself (man, brain, THINKING, well etc) >>> it's vaporware OR if not it's future's Live brother.

I don't like people hoping for a war beteewtwo music prod. tools which are developed and complete each other.

BTW there's no'posting style" or "playing somewhat asshole role" here more than anywhere... But being +/- talking a lot to hide the real sense of things is the best way to detect intruders, I mean... I don't give the "style" factor any little bit of priority while posting.

Priority is good sense. Even hidden in a silly at first reading post by some dumbass (or not) Blendton guy.

Anyway I'll never judge anyone, just be "rude" sometimes but never in hurting or trigerring a debate.
