PC version I will work on soon.
For now:
Command = CTRL and Option = ALT.
That should do it.
Re: New Ableton Live 9 Keyboard Shortcut Tool
really good - thanks for sharing!
One thing you left out though:
Clip View MIDI Editor -> select next midi note = option + left/right/up/down
where in 8 it was command instead of option.

Re: New Ableton Live 9 Keyboard Shortcut Tool
Thank you, that is quite helpful.
But in Live 8 you could change the focus between the clip slots, devices, and browser by holding alt and then navigating with the arrow keys. This does not seem to work in L9.
Does anyone know a way? I did not see that listed in the Keyboard Shortcut Tool.

You're absolutely right.LFO8 wrote:All the keyboard shortcuts are right in the Live 9 manual
But compare the manuals of version 8 and 9. In one Ableton uses neat symbols for the Mac modifier keys, and in the other we'll have to do with stuff like [CMD], [OPT] and whatnot. Good luck to users who are new to Mac.
Cheers.

Re: New Ableton Live 9 Keyboard Shortcut Tool
Hi Guys, really useful...However I have a slight problem: several shortcuts require an extra "ctrl" button on my new Apple+Ableton 9
for example 'widen grid' should be
"cmd"+"2"
and I have to "cmd"+"ctrl"+"2" to do it
which is very hard for me , as i'm used to using 2 fingers for all shortcuts
also another frequently used us undo & redo
"undo" works allright (cmd+z) but redo is "cmd"+"ctrl"+"z" in stead of "cmd"+"y" on my mac
i just changed over to Mac and directly bought Ableton 9 with it and i'm using a bluetooth mac keyboard. I know how to work with mac from long time ago and , as to Ableton shortcuts as i use them a lot...
someone any idea how to solve it and to have the regular shortcuts?

Re: New Ableton Live 9 Keyboard Shortcut Tool
Someone mentioned that the shortcuts are right there in the manual...
..I just spent 20 minutes trying to navigate to my installation folder to read the manual since there wasn't a shortcut on the desktop, nor the start menu, and the software was installed in the hidden programdata directory.
Yes, the manual is linked in the software, but does that really mean that we can abandon common sense practices like making a start menu folder and putting a link to the manual there? That's pretty freakin' common practice by now I think and I like consistency.
Also, using programdata for the entire application by default seems like a really lazy solution to a more complicated problem. Static files should exist in Program Files, dynamic files in programdata.
Anyway, yay, manual.
