Melodyne 2.1.0 Not being recognized.

Post by deanc2000 » Wed Mar 13, 2013 5:29 am

It's in my VST folder and it looks like Ableton is just skipping over it when it scans for some reason. Anyone else having this problem? OSX 10.7.4. Macbook Pro, Ableton 9.0.1.

Are you using live 64 bit? Are you using the 64 bit version of melodyne?

same problem here.

10.8.2 with Live 9.0.1 and Melodyne Editor 2.1.0 both 64bit

Melodyne shows up and functions in Studio One 2.5.1 just fine, but it's not even visible in Live's browser.
10.9 - Live 9.1/M4L - Studio One 2.6.2 - Komplete 9 ultimate - Maschine 2.0 MK2 plus random goodies and a ton of unused hardware.

Yes. Both 64 bit. I contacted both Ableton support and Melodyne support but haven't gotten any reply yet.

Well, Ableton never got back in touch with me after I contacted them about this problem, but fortunately, I just happened to turn on the AU plugins button and the Melodyne AU IS available. the VST remains nowhere to be seen. Everything is 64 bit.

AudioUnit works fine.
I don't see the VST in 64bit either.

Just foundthe solution: I installed the VST 2 version of Melodyne plug-in, moved the dll file from the VST2 plug-in folder to the VST plug-in folder, rescanned it and presto, it worked!

This is exactly it. VST2 64 bit (for your 64bit version of Ableton), the installer even asks where you want the .dll.
