This is all just making me reeeeally wish I could afford Stutter Edit :/. The demo was holy-shit. Specially love the position A to B graduation of effecting, the mod wheel implementation, and the quickness of playing it via keys.

If you have Suite 9 + M4L, Buffer Shuffler 2.0 might be an alternative also. Sure, it's no Stutter Edit, but you can get some cool results with it.

Also, another crazy M4L just released (and it's free): Granular Mirror Maze: http://www.maxforlive.com/library/devic ... irror-maze

Check out the video (gets kinda crazy 50 seconds in): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEWtwXXairM

For instance: inserting a Granular Mirror Maze followed by a Buffer Shuffler might give you some glitchy/scary results. In fact, i'm gonna try it right now lol. 8)

Hope it helps. :D

I have 4 stutter edits in my performance set (not such a great idea I know) and I found myself only using 2 or 3 of the gestures so I may just go ahead and try to recreate them with dummy clips.. might not be so juicy sounding but it will definitely save me some CPU power and finally turn my performance template into a Live-only setup..

I know everyone works in their own way, but 4 instances of Stutter Edit seems like over kill when you have 128 possible gestures in 1 instance.

I have 1 MashUp rack on 1 ReturnTrack.
It has an instance of the Finger, followed by an instance of Stutter Edit.
I use multiple blank midi tracks, and routings so I can play them from my Keyboard AND the APC40.
ALSO so I can record into 1 clip, and that clip can trigger the 2 MashUp plugs.

This gives me more than enough, and is light enough on CPU to keep my latency ultra low.

In this video I dont do a whole lot of mashing it up, but you can definitely hear the finger being triggered by a clip, I dont actually use Stutter Edit in this one, but I trigger it from an APC40 MatrixMode patch. In this video I am effecting Vectory with the MatrixModes.

Well I have 2 decks, a Live PA deck and then my Master channel.. so naturally I need to use 4 separate instances.

But it is definitely still overkill

I guess I dont understand that, since you can drop 1 instance on a return track, and send anything to it.

This is true. I guess I just never took the time to figure out how I would have to route and map that out..

So over the last year I have been slowly migrating away from processing audio in the computer, and building an all hardware rig.

I'm willing to sell Stutter Edit for $150, thats 100 bucks off.
I will also sell Turnado for $80, thats 100 bucks off.

I have sold NI software before second hand, no problems.
Not %100 about these 2 items.
I am looking into it right now.

I'm considering selling my Komplete 8 license including the Finger 2, Razor, and I throw in TwisteTools Vortex and BuffEater. Just not sure if I can sell it, I have upgraded from Reaktor over many years from a student license.

PM me if your interested.
