Seems like a lot of bugs and angry people on the forum here. I've DL'd live 9 - should I hold off on installing it until an update comes that fixes those bugs?
Don't mind waiting if it means avoiding a few headaches. But pretty keen to check out the MIDI conversion tools and the Max for Live devices
Thoughts?

If you have the diskspace I'd say simply install it, postpone installing all the extra (not really needed) livepacks and then just have a go at it while keeping Live 8 around.
You can use both programs side by side; so if you had enough of Live 9 then Live 8 is but a mouseclick away.
And if you postpone installing a whole new livepack collection you'll even keep the amount of required diskspace low for starters.
Then you're ready to eventually join the happy or angry people

With kind regards,
Peter

Make a fresh set of bootable backups and try it out for yourself. You might like the new cool-aid : )

I've not had much chance to use 9 yet, but it has run as sweet as a nut while I have been using it.

All good points - I didn't really think of running them side by side!

At least then I can go back to 8 if 9 starts annoying me.
No problem with disk space over here - I'm going to install all of the live packs - I want to hear what's in em! Actually looks like there is some pretty good content!
Approx. how long does it take to install Suite 9 + all the live packs? Oh, and obviously I should install Live 9 before Max For Live and the live Packs?

Rad, thanks guys.
Just want to minimise downtime as much as possible. I already spend enough time sorting out software issues.
