Ableton Push - I'm still not Pushin!!

The release of the Ableton Push controller has been a mess as far as I am concerned. I pre-ordered mine 2 months ago from my local store. Why does Ableton tell the world that Push will be available to buy on a certain date and when it comes to it, it isn't? Doesn't make sense. When other companies like Native Instruments, Steinberg, Propellerheads advertise a new product's release date it happens.

I thought that those who pre-ordered would receive theirs when the 1st batch were shipped. Surely as the OP pre-ordered his a few months ago he would be in that category.

I pre-ordered mine just before release from a local retailer who said they were expecting delivery on 22nd March, now their site says 28th. I'm half expecting that date to change again at some point between now and then.

I understand the frustration; the controller looks like it performs really well and looks great with nice build quality. We just want our hands on this now, especially with all the teasing vids appearing.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the first batch has shipped yet. Talked to the people at GC and they said through them they received 478 preorders and they will get their first batch of 400 on the 18th. The next batch estimated the 25th. Has anyone (non-beta/freebie testers) gotten theirs yet? I am not seeing it much so far.

I have been promised 25th March from my local retailer. They have ordered 5 units and have been promised this date. (Fingers crossed)

I thought half the idea of pre-ordering is so companies know what the demand will be like?

Due to no red box in Arrange view showing you the currently selected tracks, Push is still just as useless for adjusting instruments/levels as an APC40 is when I'm working on arrangements anyway, so I'm in no rush to get one when some simple functionality of my current Ableton controller isn't even supported, all for lack of the software not showing a red square.

I was quoted March 18th when I ordered mine from GC, but I haven't received any shipping notifications yet today, and now the Website says March 25th..
