Live 9 key commands doc?

Post by swishniak » Fri Mar 22, 2013 11:53 am

hey - anyone have a handy pdf or list of their favorite new key commands in 9?

i know they are all listed in the manual, but those pages are not very easy to navigate..

is there one for "session automation arm" for instance?

thanks

Do you look for this. Was posted in the Beta in Satisfaction in the OSX full screen mode by Tim Carlemagne

It's not much to learn:
global shortcuts - for the most applications on the mac (and mostly also PC):
cmd+O = Open file
cmd+N = new file
cmd+S = save
cmd+C = copy
cmd+V = paste
cmd+F = find
cmd+ , = preferences
cmd+TAB = select program (APP)
cmd+Q = quit program

Live
cmd+T = new audio Track
cmd+shift+T = new midi Track
cmd+shift+R = Render Audio

half a day and you'll got it ... and the other things you'll get via right click.

thanks vondersulz but i was looking for keystrokes that are new in Live 9 and particulary one that would arm session automation. my current list is below. . anyone else with good ones?

draw mode - b
zoom in +
zoom out -
cmd shift k - follow
cmf f - find
fn + F# = mutes that channel
0 (zero) = activate/deactivate currently selected notes, devices, tracks and clips.

besides the ones posted here, you can use the 'key' function and assign shortcuts to anything

actually, there are a bunch of different shortcuts in ableton. worth learning:

(if you're on windows the commands will be different, but many are analogous)

by the way, funken aka Funk N. Furter has a promotional deal with the creators of the custom key-command software he keeps pimping, which is why he brings it up so often on this forum even though this is not the solution that most people will want to use and should at any rate not be treated as standard answers to people's questions on here.

seriously funken, i presume you mean well but you've got to stop pimping your keycommand method all the time as though it's the gospel.

CORRECTION
apparently funken does not receive any money from iKey after all. and woe, ye who would say otherwise, for the hordes of the legal system are his to command.
