Can you route a Standalone to a D.A.W

Can you route or wire a standalone unit to a DAW, no matter wich one , the way must be the same for any daw, it's rather for the audio part than the midi, is there any software or home app, to be able to do that, PC/Mac both solution are good to know , thanks in advance anyone!
