Live 9..........
TAKES.... TOO.... LONG....TO....INDEX
i7 940, 24 GB Ram, Steinberg UR28M
Almost 2 days later.. still indexing and not done finding my files???
In addition, until indexing is done, while recording, Live skips and jumps.. impossible to record.
This has cost me more than the price of the software.... Nonsense !!!
WASSUP???????
Seriously.. an option to turn off indexing?
Some of us would rather navigate a browser than search one....ESPECIALLY when MONEY is involved.
My God.

Re: Live 9..........
There does seem to be quite a few pissed off people about the indexing factor if you look around.
Just because nobody is replying to this post, doesn't mean you are alone.
Maybe it's the way you express yourself.....maybe there is an over saturation of "Live 9 is crap because.....' posts.

Re: Live 9..........
My instrument (Native Instrument) libraries are on my D Drive, my loops were on E but copied them to D to keep them on same drive as instrument libraries. Live stuff is default to C Drive. I had about 32GB of samples/looops I'd acquired and Live 9 indexed them in a pretty short order (like under an hr maybe?) on the D Drive. All I did was add location and pointed to the top level Loops folder. I checked within a few mins and only one folder was showing, 20 mins or so later a lot more were showing. 32GB would be a fair amount of one-shot/loops so I don't see what could be taking you that long to index. But as has already been said, it's a known issue abe's are aware of/working on a better solution. And yes, a lot of people don't particularly care for this *new* browser. And if you see HDD light activity it's because it is writing to an index file, not copying the samples as some had thought initially (so I read - in regards to the index file writing/not copying files).
So welcome to the club....
