Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
This error always happens when I close a set or quit Live while a set is open:
"A serious program error occurred.
This application will shut down after this message box is closed.
ADefaultWinSystemExceptionHandler::HandleStageOne"
Any idea what could cause this?
thanks,
Max.

Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
Just started getting this in since auto updating to 9.0.2
Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
Are you by any chance using a max for live device in your set when this happens??
Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
Yes, I am. A couple Max for Live devices actually.zigzag wrote:Are you by any chance using a max for live device in your set when this happens??
Do you have any more information?
Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
had this error many times. sometimes it was because of some old entries in the preferences.cfg (try to delete/rename it) and sometimes while doing some basic functions and they fixed this in new updatesl did you send it as a bug report to ableton?
Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
I saw in the cycling 74 that another live user reported this when loading a specific M4L plugin by Oli...Max Oepen wrote:Yes, I am. A couple Max for Live devices actually.zigzag wrote:Are you by any chance using a max for live device in your set when this happens??

So I don't know first hand but it may have to do with an M4L problem.
The best is to submit a report with your set to Ableton. They must have the overview, not us individual users.
Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
this happens for me every 30 minutes with 9.0.2 on huge projects with tons of 3rd party vst's
Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
I get this crash and it seems to happen within about 30 minutes as well, and not with any specific type of set. In fact, I've gotten it when simply stopping the sequencer with only a few tracks containing content.
It seems to be the same crash I have experienced since v8, just now we get a name to go with it in the error box.

Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
i hope you guys sent it to ableton support
Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
unless there is a update soon i will be selling live 9.
Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
i will try to copy all tracks to new live set to see if it will help.
Re: Another recurring "serious program error" in 9.0.2
the worst of all is that I can't end task when ableton is crashed because of asio drivers i guess :/
