Will pay someone $15/hr to tutor me on ableton

Post by rebel2407 » Sat Mar 30, 2013 5:08 am

if interested, post here or email me at rebel24@gmail.com

I am serious and would like to start ASAP
I would pay through paypal or possibly through a credit card if you have an established site.

Note that I'm trying to make EDM music and am particularly interested in adding bass to existing songs as a start (as that should be easy enough to start)(and then I would like to move into production from there)

save your money and watch some videos by Tom Cosm on youtube.

as you watch those you'll find suggestions for more. try em. there are plenty of other good ones.

if you havent' already, go through the Ableton tutorials built into Live.

after all that... if you still feel the need to spend... then get some more specific videos that may cost you a few dollars... and/or search again for an instructor.

just my 2 cents...

good luck!

I will be willing to help you on with a set of 10 teaching sessions. You will be guided through the basic technical points on how to sound hip and with it. Then as you progress you will be introduced to how DJ's tweak buttons and cut their hair just right for maximum effect. Finally the truth about modern music making's mystery will be revealed. You will then be ready to record beats and become a star. Each teaching session is 90 € + VAT.

Have to agree with H2Only, your better off with video training, where you can stop and rewind if at all possible.

15 dollars an hour is great when you get 40+ hours a week but for consultation you will probably have to double it when comes down to an hour a session.

You might put your location in your Profile?

If you don't like watching Youtube etc you are making a very expensive choice to pay $15 / hour.

You should try Ill Gates workshops, get the subscription for 50$... he goes thru technical stuff that I have seen no one teach.. Also you will learn how to group your drums correctly and layer them. As well as some philosophy on arrangement and the GESTALT Principles as it pertains to music with Figure and Ground...

Once you find someone you find easy to learn from click on their channel name below the video box and look through their uploaded videos for what you need.

No need for a tutor really with YouTube out there. Seriously, give it a try. There are tutorials for just about anything you'd want to learn.
