. A plugin that I've found useful in a similar way is Michael Norris' "Spectral DroneMaker". It's a Mac-only AU (sorry Windows people ) that does real-time spectral processing and is extremely tweakable. Brian Trifon demonstrates it at

BTW the spectral dronemaker has a very nice interaction with Maurizio Giri AKA amazingnoises's Grip effect. Just saying

Thanks for the update on the Michael Norris link.

Adding Spectral Dronemaker to Steve Angstrom's generative techniques (even the simple "plinky plonk world" rack) gives some very pleasant sequences.

I don't have "The Grip", but from the description, it sounds similar to Norris's "Spectral Gate and Hold" (albeit with a vastly simpler UI.)
