Recording an external drum loop into the clip view

Post by MddHtt » Tue Apr 09, 2013 1:17 am

I have Live 8, and I use Steven Slate Drums as my drum software. In that program there are pre made grooves. I would like to record those grooves into the clip view of Live. Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't seem possible. I hope I am missing something. Any help is appreciated.

I just set the output of my MIDI Track to an audio track, which does do the job. However, then it's all one audio file, instead of being able to control the individual MIDI parts. I want to be able to send it to the MIDI track. I can't seem to see how I can do that.

Are you trying to get each drum out to its own MIDI track? I don't know the program you are using so I don't know if this is possible.
