I have an audio track with a loop on a part, then the next part down I want to use a phaser effect, then the next one down use a chorus effect. It seems like any effects I add are present on every part.
Is there a way to create varied effects depending on what scene is being auditioned?
Different effects per part. Can't figure out how to do it.

Sorta. Depending on the effect you can set clip automation to control the wet/dry mix to effectively bypass the effect for that particular clip, but device off/on doesn't appear to be automatable like it is in the arrangement view. Not sure why the automation options are different between the two views.
Disclaimer: I'm still running Live 7 on the machine I'm on right now, so things in 8 or 9 might be different. Try clip automation and see which options are available for the effects you're using.

yip that works pretty good i guess, thx!! be nice if they streamlined it and let you drop effects onto the parts independent of the device track.
