Okay, as the upgrade to 8.4 is proving more complicated than it's worth, I downloaded the archive file of 8.4 and when I install, the default directory it wants to install to is C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 8\, when I already have C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 8.2.1 on there. What do I do?? Change the directory to 8.2.1 or leave it. Seriously why is updating so complicated or am I missing something??
Question is do I need to uninstall 8.2.1 to install 8.4?

Leave the installation file path at its default. You don't need to uninstall the lesser version first, but you might want to uninstall it after you're comfortable with the newer version.
