Excellent suggestions, some doable or at least attemptable (still gets me learned up!) Keep them coming

Hmm... Seems like if you know (or can calculate) the clip length/time, the marker position/time, and the current position/time you could calculate the relative jump needed.

But unfortunately observing the current position/time is not accurate due to inherent latency of the Live API.

For decades I've longed for a software apeggiator that does what the Emax did in 1987. I'm talking about its "cruise control" mode.

Basically, if you held two keys down, it would play an arpeggio of half notes. If you held four keys down, you'd get quarter notes. If you held seven keys down, you'd get seven notes within that same measure. (This is an oversimplification, but I think you get the idea.)

I'd like to see a tutorial on how to setup tabs in a max patch if possible :) I can't wrap my head around it

Were you joking about Push Chess?

If not then check this thread: http://cycling74.com/forums/topic.php?id=46148

Are you serious? Have you even ever open a max patch? Do you need a tutorial on how to open a max patch?!
Excuse me, I'm a bit rude. But if you open max and search for tab, you'll find every information you need.

The expanded version of this would be to make it work like Traktor, 8 cue and 8 loops points saved within a clip. That would eliminate the need to make a bunch of different clips of the same track just so you can instantly jump to different sections of the track.

I am dead serious, I already did that before posting hence the "I can't wrap my head around it". Care to walk me through the process since you can decypher that information and I can't? maybe make a "tabs for idiots" tutorial... thanks

Some way of automatically exporting layers from the Looper effect as clips would be amazing.

Might be totally impossible of course. I'm not even sure how much M4L can even touch Looper.

I'd love to see a Catanya style polyphonic arp...
...any other MIDI effects are very welcome, too.

@leoelzein: are you talking about the [tab] object or the the kinds of tabs that are in the Max 6 help patches? If it's the latter then those are indeed not documented as far as I know.

Here is a patch that has tabs. It basically comes down to creating sub patches that correspond to each tab. To make the tab show up you have to go into the patcher inspector for the sub patch and check "Show on Parent Patcher Tab".
