delete unused files

delete unused files

is there a funktion to delete all files, that are not used in session or arrangement?
I mean a one klick solution, like in cubase etc? should be, no?

There used to be but it disappeared in Live 8. Unless anyone knows different the best way is to save as a different project, then collect all and save - it should only save the files it needs.

Yes, it would be useful to have it back.

In L7 I use "Manage Files"

It's pretty easy from there.

Does this not exist in L9?

when you are recording a lot, like vox, guit, etc. after a while there is no way to see through the 1000 files manually.
in cubase you would just click "delete unused files" and bamm, its all cleaned up.
should be standard in a professional DAW.

As mentioned, go to File ->Manage Files, then click on Manage Project. From here you can delete Unused Files.

It's in Live 8 and Live 9 still.
