Just wondering if anyone can share any techniques or tips for improving ones mix downs?

I was just thinking today, that I have some example project files of other people's finished mix downs (done using only Ableton FX) - so maybe it would be a good exercise to take all the processing off that project, and try to mix it down from scratch, and when finished see how my mix stands up against the original mix down. Thoughts?

Keen for any tips/excercises that have improved your mix game. I know that there are no 'shortcuts' - but any info will help. 8)

Thanks! :D

i promise the best I that you can do to make your mixdowns better. Treat your room, make some basstraps and shit, you will hear everything with new ears, you will hear 0,5db changes, you will hear everything like never before.
