Ableton 9 Crashes Forcing You to Logic?
Ableton 9 Crashes Forcing You to Logic?
I have already downloaded Logic and I am not familiar with the layout, nor do I like it. But I have NEVER experienced freezups with my iMac in many years of ownership until Ableton 9.
So I am taking the huge step in learning a new DAW because the only "Push" I know about is freezups pushing me to Logic.

Aaahh, I see what you did there.. "Push.... Taking the piss.
Seems strange that if you invested money in Ableton why you would chuck that all away and just move onto another DAW because of isolated issues on your system. So I assume Ableton support was unable to resolve any of the issues?
FWIW I am running an i7 3.6Ghz overclocked Win7 64Bit OS streamlined and setup specifically for music production and in the last 2 months I have not had a crash, freeze or otherwise unexpected issue.
Therefore using the same kind of "logic" (<<< See what I did there) in the theme of this thread, the PC is more reliable than the MAC because I don't have issues and you do. Seems you need a PC instead

Or you could just roll back to Live 8 or 7 or 6.... Since those worked fine for you. No need to learn a whole new program when these crashes will get sorted at some point eh? have you been in contact w the abes? Though they aren not so good at adding preferences, they are pretty good w attempting to fix bugs

I also have quite more crashes than I had in previous versions.
Last week I lost a complete project because of a crash.
I have a brand new mac mini. 16 gig rams i7 and everything.
I don't think it's a mac issue but it definitely needs to be addressed.

I've already said it, get a PC. It's better because it doesn't crash for me
