Alchemy Player installation noob

Post by Down8ch » Mon May 06, 2013 11:08 pm

So I just downloaded the Alchemy Player. Copied the installed files to my vst folder and I can see it when I launch Ableton, but I don't know how to actually go about using Alchemy player itself. The weird thing is it shows up in my live 8 vst library (I'm using Live 9) but not in my regular vst folder. And I can't for the life of me figure out how to actually add the player to a new track

From what little I read on it, you have to load it onto a track then load a sound bank for it since it is just a player.

Makes sense, But I can't even figure out how to drag Alchemy onto a track in the first place

If you see it in your plugins folder, double click on it and it should pop onto a track, then go from there. I would expect it to react like any other plugin, double-click it or drag-n-drop onto a track should put it there.

you will also need to install the "allpresets" folder from alchemy before your library will show up.
