Ableton Crash Day - Lets make a statement.

Heres an idea.

Lets pick a day next week and we all agree to send our crashes to ableton that day. If you're like me you gave up on ableton a long time ago ever listening to what long term users of their program wanted; you dont bother to send your crashes anymore.

- Stability
- A proper DAW before gimmick features to shift more units.

Lets all promise on Ableton Crash Day to actually show them how f-ing frustrated we all are and submit our crashes..

You never know, they might listen?

(or ill find out the sad truth that its just me...)

Ben

I'm in. I am trying to finish up an EP within the next 2 weeks and I get between 10-15 crashes a day on 9.0.4

Sounds like a stupid idea.

I don't think any company aims for unsatisfied customers, hence the reason for so many disappointed people is that not enough work gets done. Flooding them with Crash reports does not improve the situation.

Im on a RMBP with a freshly installed operating system (mac osx) and u_he plugins and kontakt. Thats it.

Its not a plan to OVERLOAD them you wally, im saying that IF you have a crash.. you MUST send it.. ableton seem to be happy with not replying to crashes (a simple search of the forum for crash would satisfy you)

That's not what you wrote ("Lets all promise on Ableton Crash Day to actually show them how f-ing frustrated we all are and submit our crashes.."), but nevermind....

Well, not replying to a crash report doesn't mean they don't get them and learn from them. I don't mean to belittle your issues, it sucks when crashes do happen. As a user of the software I would hope that if you are getting crashes, you are sending the reports most every time, instead of being jaded by not receiving replies.

Personally Live very rarely crashes for me, but I very rarely use external plugs, and I feel like that is one of the biggest entry points for potential issues, because they don't control that part of the code.

Anyway, I hope you get some of your issues resolved. Live crashing blows.
