Why does my session automation recordings become greyed out?

Post by digid » Sat Jun 01, 2013 4:24 pm

This is happening to a few plug-ins, for example the +bubbler plug from the Soundhack delay colletion:

I have armed the track, I have turned on "warp" for the clip, and I press "Session Record Button". I move a slider on +bubbler, and after stopping recording, I can see automation has been recorded into the clip.

However, it won't play back - it's greyed out. Granted, if I de-press the "Re-Enable Automation" button, the automation VERY shortly becomes active, but then the "Re-Enable Automation" once again turns orange, and the automation becomes greyed out again.

What on earth is happening here? Are not plug-in data supposed to be able to be recorded with the new Live 9 Session Automation?

Anyone?

EDIT: Just tried the EchoBoy plug-in from Soundtoys, and there it seems to work fine. Is this a plug-in-related problem? If so, what might be done with the plug-in?

No, that can't be it. I am using the mouse as my input/controller.

Also, I have tried the Audiounit version and VST version of the exact same plug-ins, and automation playback will work fine with the VST version, but not with the Audiounit. Something else must be wrong.
